Email Multimedia Web Work About Contact Client Login

How Can You Offer Unlimited Sending? Won't that result in SPAM? Not usually. We work closely with clients to make sure that they're sending email that recipients want to receive. We also know the college and university market very well and can reliably anticipate traffic patterns and appropriate mailing frequency.

What file formats will you accept? Windows CSV, TXT, XLS, XLSX, and original data files from CollegeBoard, NRCCUA, CBSS, and ACT. In some cases, we can accept other formats. Call your rep for details.

Do I have to send data for each email? No. We can create and send Non-Responder broadcasts or broadcast new messages from a previous list.

How does it all work? It's surprisingly simple really. If you are an Endless Email Basic client, you send us the HTML for your message as well as the list of recipients. We create a new mailing in our system, load the data, test your email account to make sure everything's okay with the campaign, and then send the live broadcast. Endless Email Plus clients send us recipient lists and can send us their HTML layouts as well -- or use one of the layouts that we create as part of their service agreement. Once the data is here, the same production process applies. As soon as the campaign is sent, we begin to gather delivery statistics and make them available to you in real-time in your client account. Each mailing is tracked on the basis of non-responders, opens, delivery, clicks, and information requests (where appropriate). You can download the raw data for each of those metrics in a CSV file that you can open in Excel.

What will the email look like? The email will look like the creative you sent us, with some slight adjustments depending on the mail client you use. But don't worry -- you can see the email as a test message before you send the live broadcast. One round of edits/revisions is included with our service packages. Rounds beyond the first incur and hourly fee.

Will the email come from us? There are several pieces to the 'from address' of an email. The display name of your email will be of your choosing -- for instance, it could have the dean's name, or read "admissions office". The reply-to email address will also be an email address of your choosing. We suggest a special mail account that you can use to trap certain types of bounces or communications from students. The return-path address will actually be an email address specially generated by us for each campaign. This address will come from a domain that correctly identifies our sending server to mail account providers. This lets people know that we are "good guys" and aren't trying to hide where our email is coming from -- which in turn means they see *you* as good guys too!

What kinds of email can I send? All of our campaigns go out as either image rich or lite HTML. This allows you to send live links even when a message looks like it's just text. In terms of content, you can send any admissions related email you like. Clients often create a communications plan that involves Student Search mailings, non-responder broadcasts, campus visit invitations, event notifications, deadline reminders, and accept student information.

How long will it take to get ready? We can load mailings and lists very rapidly, but the reality of institutional life means that approval cycles on the client end can be slow. So, while we can often turn campaigns around on a same-day basis, we recommend that you leave a full 24 to 48 hours between giving us the appropriate materials and your projected launch time. We cannot load and mail campaigns that come in during the afternoon of the day they are to be sent.

How will I see my results? Every Endless Email client has a unique login to our reporting system. You can view your reports in real time by logging in. You can also download the data associated with each reporting metric.

How can I get my co-workers the emails I send? You can include your colleagues in the actual live broadcast by including their addresses in a separate file or in the campaign data itself. You can also opt to have your colleagues receive the test broadcasts for your mailings by asking us to include them on the testers list for your client account.

What do you mean by embedding a link? When you send an email to prospects or applicants, you're usually trying to get them to take action and that action often involves visiting a web page to learn more or complete a form. We encourage you to include links to web pages in your emails by tell us which parts of the copy you'd like to have linked and where you'd like the people who follow that link to go. We can take care of the rest.

Should my email be really long? Email length is a hotly debated topic in the Email Service Industry. We recommend that you make the length of your copy appropriate to both your brand and the character of your message. For example, an event invitation or deadline reminder can and should be quite brief. A Search message might be longer if you are trying to engage the prospect in a more nuanced discussion about your institution.

Do I have to have a link in the email? You don't have to have a link in every email, but we encourage you to send email as part of a plan to get prospects to take action -- to do something. Usually, this something involves visiting a web page or completing a form.

Do I have to link to my website? If your web site really sucks, then we'd say no. But if you have a site that is well crafted and delivers your brand message to students, then we encourage you to let the world see it!
